This beautiful and unique bar necklace is part of our new Northern California Forest Jewelry Collection, featuring leaves and cones of various native tree species with geometric elements! This stunning bar necklace features a pendant cast from a real Pacific Madrone twig, with unique hexagonal bails, on a recycled Sterling silver chain.
Pacific Madrone (Arbutus menziesii) AKA Madrona is a medium-sized broadleaf evergreen tree, native to coastal California through British Columbia. It is a beautiful multi-trunked tree with rich orange-red bark that, when mature, naturally peels away in thin sheets, leaving a greenish, silvery appearance that has a satin sheen and smoothness. The exposed wood sometimes feels cool to the touch. In spring, it bears sprays of small bell-like flowers, and in autumn, astringent to edibly sweet (depending on area) red berries.
The approximately 2.675"/6.5cm ancient bronze* bar pendant comes with a 19" 925 Sterling silver chain with clasp. Total length is approximately 22"/55cm.
*Ancient bronze is a traditional alloy of 90% copper and 10% tin.
