This beautiful and unique charm pendant is part of our Northern California Forest Jewelry Collection, featuring leaves and cones of various native tree species with geometric elements! This stunning necklace features a pendant, cast from a real Manzanita leaf, with a unique hexagonal bail, and an 18" Sterling silver chain. Cast in solid work hardened Sterling silver, our forest jewelry pieces are much sturdier than electroplated pieces.

Manzanita is a common name for many species of the genus Arctostaphylos. They are evergreen shrubs or small trees in the Heather family native to western North America. There are over 120 species of Manzanita, many of which are endemic to (found only in) California. They are characterized by waxy, pointed deep green leaves and bell-shaped pink or white flowers maturing to small red fruits; smooth, orange or red peeling bark; and stiff, twisting branches, a potent symbol of the Pacific Coast.

All silver used in our castings is recycled from the local Silicon Valley e-waste stream, contributing to a better environment in the SF Bay Area and beyond. Even better, 12% of the profit from your order goes to reforestation efforts in Northern California and Southern Oregon!
