Part of our new Northern California forest metal jewelry series, this stunning, rustic ear weight set features a set of 1" x .25" bronze castings made from real Coast Live Oak acorns, with hand forged 8g ear wires. Each Ear weight weighs approximately 20 grams.
Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia) is an evergreen oak native in Coastal California from Mendocino County south to Northern Baja California, Mexico. Mature specimens can live up to 250+ years, reaching a height of 30-82 ft. The mature trunk is contorted, massive, and gnarled, lending a unique appearance to the tree.
The earrings are made of ancient bronze, an alloy of 90% copper and 10% tin. Made with love in Northern California.
